The peristaltic pump hose as a consumable of the peristaltic pump may encounter various damages during use. Under normal circumstances, the life of the silicone tube can reach 200-400 hours, and the imported tube can reach 2000- 10,000 hours. However, in the process of use, due to the incorrect installation of the peristaltic pump hose or the corrosive liquid, it will cause premature wear and abnormal wear of the hose pump. What is the cause of these damages? Today I will do a simple analysis on this issue.
1. Look at the reason for the damage of the peristaltic pump hose from the damaged opening: if the damaged peristaltic pump hose looks like a sharp cut like a knife cut, it is usually the runner and flange of the peristaltic pump head. The edge is cut. The reason for this damage is usually that the hose in the pump head is too long. When the pump head of the peristaltic pump is running, the hose swayed in the pump head and touched the flange of the runner. The flange was constantly friction and cut soft. tube. This kind of damage process will be very fast, usually in about ten minutes will be completely damaged. With the damage of the pump tube, a lot of hose slag will be seen in the pump.
Solution: 1. When installing the pump tube, make sure that the pump tube in the pump head is straightened, so that too many hoses will not be nested in the pump head. 2. At the same time, clamp a special plastic clamp (as shown in the picture) at the inlet and outlet of the hose pump near the pump head clamp tube to prevent the peristaltic pump hose from loosening and running.
2. Look at the cause of damage from the shape of the damaged hose: the hose appears to be completely flattened, loses its resilience, the wall thickness of the hose becomes thinner, and the surface is severely worn. This phenomenon is usually caused by the jamming of the runner, the surface of the peristaltic pump contacting the pump tube and the impurity on the runner, and the high speed. After the runner of the peristaltic pump head is stuck, the runner of the peristaltic pump directly scrapes through the hose of the peristaltic pump, which will increase the friction on the surface of the hose, causing the temperature of the hose surface to rise very high and wear the hose surface, which is too high. Temperature will also make the hose lose its elasticity. In extreme cases, the temperature over 140 degrees will even cause the hose to melt and deform.
Solution: Pay attention to check whether the running wheel of the peristaltic pump head is flexible; pay attention to cleaning the surface of the pump head pressure tube; appropriately reduce the speed of the peristaltic pump.
3. From the size and shape of the damaged peristaltic pump hose to see the cause of the damage: the peristaltic pump hose may transport different liquids, and some liquids will corrode and dissolve some hoses. If we see the peristaltic pump hose becoming brittle, hard, losing elasticity, discoloration, swelling, breakage, etc., it is usually because the hose cannot transport this liquid.
Solution: Find the hose material that will not be corroded by the liquid you transport. Our company has a variety of materials for pump pipes to choose from. It can provide reference data for the chemical compatibility experiment of most liquids and provide detailed chemical phase depth. The sex form is available for reference to help you choose the hose accurately. You can also take some samples of the hose to do soaking experiments to ensure that the hose will not be corroded by liquid
